How I Practice My Faith
Hello! Welcome back to the blog.
Today I wanted to expand on my last post and explain how I practice my faith. As a Christo-pagan druid, there are many differences to how I practice my faith as opposed to my solely Christian brothers and sisters. I do believe in most of the same principles that Christians, however there are some large differences in what is practiced. My practices happen on a daily and weekly basis to ensure that I live the best spiritual life that I can.
On a daily basis, my practice consists in mostly my morning routine. Once I wake up, I do a daily devotional from my bible. The devotional is from She Reads Truth as I subscribe to their monthly boxes. This gets me started in the Word of God as that is central to my beliefs. Then, I’ll do a bible reading, which is usually 1-2 chapters. Once, I finish that, I do a meditation from the aura app, which clears my mind and allows me to have a productive day. Then, I’ll do a workout and some yoga. Yoga is a spiritual practice for me and allows me to really connect with my inner self.
I also have some practices that I do once a week. I go to therapy weekly, which is very Christ centered and not only helps me to heal from past trauma, but also allows me to have a second opinion on certain life events from a biblical point of view. On Sundays, I worship with my church and that allows me to worship the Creator with others. Last, but not least, on Thursdays I read my Gwers from the Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids, which is where I’m learning druidry from.
Some practices that I want to incorporate into my routines is daily prayer to deepen my connection to Jesus. I also want to do daily mediation outdoors that’s not guided to deepen my connection with Danu, the earth goddess. I also really want to learn more and connect with other Celtic and Norse deities.
So, that’s how I practice my faith and also how I wish to practice my faith in the future. I hope this is helpful or entertaining and I’ll be back next week.
xoxo Meghan
